The author
John Harvey was born in London in 1938. The author of a series of crime novels with Nottingham Lieutenant Charlie Resnick as their protagonist, with his preceding book Ash and Bone (Cairo) he inaugurated a new serial protagonist who was greeted enthusiastically by English readers and critics. John Harvey is also a poet and a playwright.
