In an old Italian film, popular comedian Totò tried to sell the country’s statues and monuments to simple-minded tourists. Today, high-tech thieves are ready to take advantage of us – the simple-minded web surfers. A self-defence textbook, Truffe.com is a simple yet effective guide to the complex world of tech-based fraud: from cashomats to on-line purchases, from credit cards to banking operations, from phishing to just about any other danger creeping through the internet. And finally, a list of tips and tricks to help you keep away or defend yourself from the swindles of this IT-based third millennium.
