Anna Cataldi

Anna Cataldi, a journalist and writer, has covered numerous conflicts around the world in the last twenty years. In 1997 she was co-founder of the project «Crimes of War» created to inform the public about the laws that regulate armed conflicts. Form 1998 to 2007 she was one of nine Peace Messengers sent out by Kofi Anan, Secretary General of the United Nations. Since 2008, for three years as Ambassador of the World Health Organization, she dedicated herself to the fight against tuberculosis. Currently she is the ECRE ambassador (European Council on Refugees and Exiles). She wrote Sarajevo. Voci da un assedio (1993) and, together with Giorgio Baravalle, curated Cinquant’anni dopo: 1948-1998, Dichiarazione universale dei diritti umani (1998). She also wrote for the collective books: Crimes of War and Crimes of War 2.0 (1999, 2007); NewYorkSeptembereleventwothousandandone (2002); Rethink (2002); Violenza senza legge (2006).
