Punjab, Pakistan. The village court decides that Mukhtar Mai will be repeatedly raped in order to “repair” an offence caused by her twelve year old brother, accused of speaking to a girl member of a powerful clan. Since then, her story has gone round the world. Supported by important human rights organizations and the international press, Mukhtar Mai has transformed her personal story into a battle in the name of humanity.
